What a great way to start this blog than to begin writing about some good work on this auspicious occasion.

Annapoorna

Hindu organisations around the Sacramento area are coming together to prepare and donate food for homeless. Plans are in place for giving food to 500 people. This is being organised at a place called Loaves and Fishes in Sacramento.

Diwali Celebrations

Many Indians in our apartment community came up with an idea to have a get together on Diwali. It was really heartening to know that almost every Indian family in our community is participating and this initiative is entirely driven by our womenfolk (as usual....Thumbs up to them ). I will upload some photos in my next posting.
